1.Who We Are
Fliip is an online marketplace that allows users to buy and sell secondhand fashion, shoes and accessories. Fliip is a platform only. We are not a seller, buyer, or party to any transaction that takes place between users on this platform.
2.Our Role as a Platform
Fliip provides the technology to connect buyers and sellers. We do not own, inspect, authenticate, or handle any items listed or sold on this platform. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of any item listed by sellers.
3.Seller Responsibilities
By listing an item on Fliip you confirm that you are the rightful owner of the item, the item is accurately described including its condition, brand and size, the item is genuine and not a counterfeit or fake, you will ship the item within 3 days of a confirmed sale, and all photos used are real photos of the actual item being sold. Selling counterfeit, stolen or misrepresented items is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate permanent removal from the platform. Fliip reserves the right to report suspected fraud to the relevant authorities.
4.Buyer Responsibilities
By purchasing on Fliip you acknowledge that items are secondhand and sold by individual sellers not by Fliip, you have read the full listing description before purchasing, and that Fliip does not guarantee the authenticity of any item.
5.Buyer Protection
All buyers are automatically protected for free on every purchase. If an item arrives fake, damaged or not as described the buyer can open a dispute within 48 hours of delivery. If the seller never ships within 3 days the order is automatically cancelled and the buyer is refunded. If tracking shows no movement for 7 days the order is flagged as lost and the buyer is refunded. All protection is funded from the platform's 3% fee.
6.Fake or Counterfeit Items
Fliip does not authenticate any items listed on the platform. If you receive an item you believe to be fake or counterfeit you must report it to us within 48 hours of delivery through the app. We will investigate and where we find in the buyer's favour we will issue a full refund. The seller's account will be suspended pending investigation and permanently banned if fraud is confirmed. Fliip is not liable for any losses caused by counterfeit items beyond the refund of the original purchase price.
7.Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Fliip collects a 3% platform fee on each completed sale. This fee is deducted automatically before funds are released to the seller. Fliip is not responsible for any payment disputes between buyers and sellers beyond what our refund policy covers.
8.Shipping
Sellers are responsible for shipping items safely and on time. Fliip is not responsible for items lost, damaged or delayed in transit. Sellers must provide a valid tracking number within 3 days of a confirmed sale. Failure to ship will result in automatic order cancellation and a full refund to the buyer. Tracking numbers are verified automatically and submitting a fake or invalid tracking number will result in an immediate warning strike and potential account suspension.
9.Refunds
Refunds are issued in the following situations only — the seller did not ship within 3 days, the item received is significantly different from the listing description, or the item is confirmed to be counterfeit. Refunds are not issued for change of mind purchases.
10.Delivery Address
When a buyer completes a purchase their full delivery address is shared with the seller for shipping purposes only. Sellers must not use buyer address details for any purpose other than shipping the purchased item. Misuse of buyer personal data will result in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
11.Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed on Fliip — counterfeit or fake goods, stolen items, weapons of any kind, illegal substances, and adult only content.
12.Account Suspension and Bans
Fliip reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these terms, receives multiple complaints from other users, attempts to conduct transactions outside of the platform, submits fake tracking numbers, or is found to be engaging in fraudulent activity. Three warning strikes results in automatic account suspension pending review.
13.Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use Fliip. If you are under 18 you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use this platform and make purchases.
14.HMRC Reporting
In accordance with UK Digital Platform Reporting Rules, Fliip is required to report seller earnings to HMRC. Sellers who earn over £1,700 in a year or complete more than 30 sales will have their details reported to HMRC automatically. Sellers are responsible for declaring their own tax obligations. Fliip is not responsible for any tax liability incurred by sellers using the platform.
15.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fliip is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, disputes between buyers and sellers, loss of items in transit, or the actions of any third party including sellers, buyers or payment processors.
16.Changes to These Terms
Fliip reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are made means you accept the updated terms.
